the beginning..!
There are many things out there that we sure are not aware of. How ever this does not mean that they do not exist. We might know how to read and write, but there are many other people that do not know. The challenge for us is to make something about this, it is not enough to be aware of the problems and to not to something about it. It is just not fair. We have to find the ways to solve this problem, and by find the way I mean many things. We have to know that these people do not think the same way we do, do not know the same things we do, and specially do not understand at the same speed we do. They are not inferior to us, they are just different. We know things that can make them improve in our society and in this same way, they know stuff that we might not know, and that will sure be a lesson in life. We are given the opportunity to make a change and we might as well make a good use of it. With a lot o effort and enthusiasm a big change can be made.
Incredible Expirience with Dr. David Werner
Sometimes it is necessary that something shocking happen to us in order to learn about it and do something, this is the case of Dr. David Werner. He is one of the few people that have walked around the world helping others. He promotes the child to child methodology, and he has been working in Ecuador with handicapped people from all of the country.
On the 15th of this month, we had the opportunity to meet him when he assisted to the last costume made wheel chair donation in Guayaquil. We could see how somebody wants to sincerely help, and not just to make some media show about it. We’ve seen several times big enterprises doing these type of donations, of course this helps, but sometimes it does not work like it is supposed to because it is not enough. There are many children and adults that have many different issues and that not always this issue is helped with just a normal wheelchair, it is sometimes necessary to make some changes in them. This is what Dr. Werner does; he dedicates extra time and work for each especial child and their needs. Are we ready to also do this? This is the question. All it takes it’s a little extra care in what we do and in what we want to accomplish.

DETODAS FOUNDATION
On may 12th of the present year, I went and visited the “DETODAS” foundation, I met two ladies that worked there that they in the office I’ll see other people that also help me on my assignment .
Once I went into the office, there were two other ladies. They were working on the bills and I asked if they could help me. At first, they were kind of shy with me, but then they agreed to help me and immediately told me all about their experience on the foundation.
The ladies told me, that since they began working with the microcredit’s program of the foundation, they were able to collaborate in their home paying bills and making extra money for their families. They also told me that they felt proud of themselves because they had made a change in the ideal that only men can economically maintain the house and the family.
The most important thing i learned from this foundation, is how relevant it is a social network, and how it helps, for the development of the human being. We did not only help them, but we learned with them. We established a very strong communication and friendship allowing us to understand even more the difficulties that they got through every day, and that of course can happen to us.
